Vivek Nanda is a renowned urbanist who has worked on major strategic city-building, regeneration and infrastructure projects in the UK, Europe, Middle East and India. He is the CEO of Hinduja Investment and Project Services and Board Member of the UK India Business Council. Previously, he was part of the Global Executive at AECOM. He is Currently Executive director of the Oxford India Centre for Sustainable development.
He has pioneered new approaches towards understanding, regulating and implementing sustainable growth and regeneration of urban settings at the national and regional level. He is active as a policy maker and project leader covering both physical and social infrastructure - planning, transport, heritage, public realm and education – for the public and private sector. He is leading several initiatives on Smart Cities, Low Carbon and Urban Resilience. He is author of several significant good practice publications which constitute national policy. His major India projects include the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor and the Smart Cities Programme.
