A guide to the key project management and development skills required throughout the complete construction and development process. You will explore main technical issues that need to be managed during a construction project, from initial concept through to operation of the building. The areas addressed include key concepts on legislation, funding and finance, an overview on procurement and contracts and a dedicated session on project management tools and processes.
The knowledge acquired during this session can be widely applied to real life projects and will allow you to better interact within your project teams, clients and other stakeholders.
Case studies, practical exercises and best practice techniques designed to prepare you for working on construction projects and assisting those making decisions related to team management, legal issues, finance and funding, the appropriate procurement route, project structure and risk management.
We speak with Tim Jones FRICS, who provides construction industry insight, the emerging skills gaps and the RICS training courses that support the changing industry needs.
