With the Winter Olympics well under way, the Chartered Surveyors Curling Society and RICS would like to invite you to come along to a “Come and Try Curling” taster session at Edinburgh Curling Club adjacent to Murrayfield Ice Rink at 13 Riversdale Crescent Edinburgh.
The aim of the session will be to get you on the ice, provide an introduction to the basics of the game and an insight into the sport, and see if there are any potential Olympians out there! If you enjoy the session and are keen to do more, information on joining the Society for the start of next season from September 2018 will be provided.
After the session you will have the opportunity to network with your peers in the bar area where refreshments will be available to purchase.
Whilst the session has been kindly sponsored by David & Robertson and the KLM Partnership and will be free of charge, we would hope that participants would make a donation (£10/person) to the RICS 150 Anniversary appeal on behalf of Land Aid.
You can transform a young person’s life by donating today. Text RICS12 followed by £3, £5 or £10 to 70070; or
RICS and LandAid aim to raise £2.25 million and fund 150 bed spaces by December 2018 to protect young people at risk of homelessness across the UK.
It costs around £15,000 to provide one bed space — we need your support to help raise the funds and deliver our mission to end youth homelessness.
While it costs around £15,000 to bring a bed space back to life, every penny will make a real difference and takes the project a step closer to changing young people’s lives.
