Whilst state-based environmental and planning regulations are in place to control the most contaminated sites, or contamination disturbed during site redevelopment, the majority of potentially contaminated sites remain unidentified. This presents a significant commercial risk to property owners and investors, where contamination could affect the safety of site users, the integrity of buildings and structures, and the value and profitability of property.
This session provides a practical overview of how contaminated land issues can be identified, mitigated and managed through the property life cycle.
