The global value of construction projects in 2017 is estimated at £142 billion and construction output is to grow by 3.6% in 2016. With this rapid rate of growth and investment, Quantity Surveyors need to develop their skills and knowledge in order to manage the post contract stage of cost management with increased efficiencies of cost prediction, project implementation and considering new methodologies.
As materials and processes in construction become more complex, the role of the Quantity Surveyor has evolved into a role with multiple duties that can now include the quantification of costs regarding IT infrastructure, understanding the business goals of the client and industry and taxation.
This course will guide professionals through new work practices that will allow you to implement cost management in a more efficient way with a focus on strategic procurement and advisory, risk management and planning and supply chain and value management.
