Our Rules of Conduct are mandatory for all our members, students and trainees, and all firms we regulate.
These Rules of Conduct are essential reading. They apply to all RICS members, students and trainees. Members will be able to follow them regardless of where in the world or in which sphere of activity they practise.
Our Rules of Conduct for Firms apply to firms that we regulate and cover those matters which are dealt with at firm level.
Where the firm is based and operates will determine whether or not they will or can opt to be an RICS-regulated firm.
Please note: in April 2017, a minor change was made to the wording of Rule 9 to clarify the Regulatory Board’s expectation of the profession in relation to indemnity.
