Overview

Each module section contains real-life examples helping you to apply the theory. The course includes a wealth of interactions including, exercises and puzzles to help develop your practical application and assist with knowledge retention. You are also introduced to course virtual classmates; a group of animated characters who help explore some of the PMBOK® Guide more complex concepts. Each section also includes numerous multiple choice questions to test your understanding of the technical theory and practice.

Learning Objectives

  •  Have sufficient knowledge and understanding to work as an informed member of a project team undertaking a variety of project management roles
  •  Be able to examine and analyse the inputs, outputs, tools and techniques of the processes and knowledge areas of the PMBOK® Guide
  •  Be able to describe each process group and knowledge area of the PMBOK® Guide

*PMP® Certification pre-requisites

If you wish to take the PMP® examination, the Project Management Institute requires that you either hold:

A four-year degree (bachelors or the global equivalent) and at least three years of project management experience, with 4,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education.
OR
A secondary diploma (high school or the global equivalent) with at least five years of project management experience, with 7,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education.

You are required to apply directly to the Project Management Institute before you can sit the exam. There is a strict protocol as they will authenticate that the above criteria has been met prior to exam attendance.
