After an overview of the major players in property, this seminar will show you how to

  • identify the key operators in the property market.
  • explain different sectors and the ways to own, develop and gain value from property.
  • set-out various legal frameworks, including the Town Planning Ordinance, Building Planning
    Regulation, and Landlord and Tenant (Consolidation) Ordinance.
  • define the principle functions of a property owner, occupier or advisor in relation to valuation, agency,
    property management, fund management and development.
  • identify key issues with property funding in today‚Äôs market.

Meet the speaker:


Mr Johnny Siu has been a chartered general practice surveyor for 27 years and is now a senior professional in the civil services. He has been serving both the RICS and HKIS as an APC assessor since 1993. Before joining the HKSAR Government, Mr SIU was an executive in HSBC group and worked in the marketing department, Wayfoong Property Limited and the Group Head Property Office, HSBC for over 13 years. Mr Siu has also been a part-time lecturer in various universities for nearly 20 years.
