Overview

The BEAM Society Limited recently revamped the BEAM Plus assessment procedures for new building projects with an aim to improve its services to the industry. With effect from 1 May 2018, all BEAM Plus New Buildings (NB) projects must adhere to the new procedures.

A representative from the BEAM Society will brief attendees on the refined assessment procedures, with a special focus on the following changes:

  • Technical screening and Performance Pledge.
  • Enhanced two-stage provisional assessment.
  • Re-assessment and post-TRC.
  • Review mechanism.
  • Transitional arrangements.

Meet the speaker

Ir C. S. Ho, General Manager, BEAM Society Limited

Ir C. S. Ho is a practicing engineer as well as a lawyer. He graduated with BSc (Engineering) from HKU, then earned an MBA, a post‐graduate Diploma in Software Engineering, and PCLL from HKU; and LLB from Manchester Metropolitan University of UK.

He is currently the General Manager of BEAM Society Ltd, the Deputy Chairman of Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency, a Barrister‐at‐law at the High Court of Hong Kong, a consultant of Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute, and an Honorary Principle Lecturer of the University of Hong Kong, teaching engineering and legal subjects at both the graduate and post‐graduate levels.
