Rules of conduct

Our rules of conduct are mandatory for all our members, students, trainees, and all the firms we regulate. They demonstrate the high professional standards that members and firms work to.

The rules of conduct demonstrate to clients, consumers and the general public the high standards that RICS members and regulated firms work to and are mandatory to follow for members and firms. 

Being able to show that you are a qualified RICS professional or that your firms is regulated by RICS provides independent external confidence.

The rules of conduct for individuals apply to all RICS members, students and trainees wherever they work in the world and in whatever sector they work in.

Rules of conduct for firms apply to the firms regulated by RICS which will depend on where they are located. 

It is essential that all RICS members and regulated firms are fully understand these rules and comply to them.
